Job Overview
We are currently seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as an Apprentice OR Journeyman Electricians with residential and/or commercial Experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical work, a solid understanding of conduit systems, and a passion for learning and advancing their skills in the electrical trade.
Responsibilities
- Conduit Installation: Proficiently install, bend, and thread conduits of various types and sizes according to electrical specifications and project requirements.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret electrical drawings and blueprints to determine the layout and installation of conduit systems.
- Wiring and Termination: Assist in the wiring and termination of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and safety standards.
- Material Handling: Responsible for the proper handling and storage of electrical materials, tools, and equipment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with journeyman electricians and other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues, proposing effective solutions with attention to quality and efficiency.
- Continuous Learning: Actively seek opportunities for professional development and advancement within the electrical trade.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician with a strong background in both residential and commercial settings.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems is essential.
- Familiarity with reading schematics and understanding technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
- A valid electrician's license or certification is preferred.
- Commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work.
- Must work well with both residential and commercial clients to access their electrical needs and explain technical issues in clear language.
