What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Cleaning Personnel position at MPW?
JOB FUNCTION:
To clean and maintain entire maintenance department, including the Mechanical, Paint & Body and Fabrication shops.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Clean all office and common areas.
2. Empties all trash containers daily.
3. Sweep all carpet daily.
4. Wet mop hard flooring daily.
5. Cleans benches and floors.
6. Stock kitchens.
7. Cleans restrooms and showers.
8. Performs other duties as directed.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist with shoveling snow and salt the sidewalks around building.
2. Adhere to a cleaning schedule for all carpets and glass.
3. Stocking copy and fax rooms when needed.
4. Use slippery floor hazard signs when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Some High School Education acceptable.
3. Ability to work in a highly detailed and safe manner.
4. Ability to operate forklift and floor cleaning equipment.
5. Ability to safely use certain cleaning chemicals.
6. Ability to read and understand labels and written and verbal directions.
7. 0-1 years of “hands on” experience.
