Maintenance Technician

Job Description



We’re looking for a dependable Maintenance Technician to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations across PPS production facilities. This role is responsible for preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, inspections, and continuous improvement efforts that help keep plant operations running smoothly and safely.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for plant equipment and facility systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on industrial equipment and production systems.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment, pumps, heaters, forklifts, compressors, and related systems.
• Coordinate outside contractors and support vendor activities during equipment servicing or repairs.
• Monitor maintenance spending and support cost-effective repair and replacement decisions.
• Perform cleaning, lubrication, calibration, and adjustment of plant equipment and components.
• Complete scheduled safety inspections, leak testing, and operational equipment checks in accordance with company procedures.
• Support preventative maintenance activities for ovens, pressure washers, compressors, and HVAC-related systems.
• Maintain waste treatment systems, probes, and related equipment to support operational compliance.
• Repair paint racks, fixtures, and general facility equipment as needed.
• Assist with electrical panel assessments, equipment blow-out procedures, and miscellaneous plant maintenance projects.
• Troubleshoot PLC-related issues and support operational equipment performance improvements.
• Maintain organized parts inventories, maintenance records, and replacement component lists.
• Support maintenance activities across multiple PPS facilities when business needs require.
• Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and operational procedures.
• Perform additional duties and plant support tasks as assigned by leadership.
  
  

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in HVAC, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, automotive, or equipment-focused environment.
• Working knowledge of preventative maintenance practices, hand tools, mechanical systems, and industrial equipment repair.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, operational, and equipment-related issues with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office and maintenance documentation systems.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined or hard-to-access spaces throughout 8–12 hour shifts.
• Ability to work in industrial environments with exposure to heat, noise, moving equipment, chemicals, and required PPE.
• Ability to maintain physical stamina, manual dexterity, and alertness while performing hands-on maintenance tasks.
• Flexibility to work overtime, varying schedules, and occasional travel between PPS facilities as needed.
