Essential Functions
- Responsible for coordinating with personnel, delegating tasks, evaluating performances, and training new members of the workforce. Communicates special instructions for jobs to other team members.
- Proactively seeks out defective materials.
- Primarily responsible for overseeing all processing operations and workforce performance, ensuring efficiency and timeliness in their department. Verifies the quality of completed jobs is consistent with COS QC standards.
- Performs all necessary quality control (QC) inspections on each job based on the guidelines communicated and posted in the department.
- Demonstrates a strong proficiency and thorough understanding of all machines in all areas within the department.
- Possesses a keen understanding of the equipment and software. Maximizes equipment capabilities.
- Troubleshoots detailed machine aspects below the surface of basic equipment operation.
- Involved in new product development and tests machine capabilities.
- Works cooperatively with other departments to help achieve manufacturing goals.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 5 years of previous machine operation required, preferably in a mail production environment.
- Basic math and reading skills required.
- Previous experience in a leadership role preferred.
- Demonstrates an ability to adapt to increased production volumes within a short timeframe.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Works well both individually and as a team leader.
- Responds positively to the demands of a constantly evolving work environment.
