MPS Group, Inc., is seeking an Environmental Technician to join our team at the Stellantis Transmission Plant located in Kokomo, IN. This individual will be responsible for handling and processing production by-product waste to include but not limited to; solid, recyclable, and hazardous/non-hazardous material.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:
- Collect trash, recyclables, scrap metal and other waste streams throughout the plant and transports to disposal.
- Load semi-trailers and roll-off boxes for shipment to off-site destination facilities.
- Perform and document daily equipment inspection prior to use.
- Assist supervisor with response to chemical spill incidents by placing adsorbents on liquids, sweeping or vacuuming solids and containerizing cleaned up materials for proper disposal.
- Assist Project Manager with daily supply delivery, waste pick up and waste organization.
- Document and inform Project Manager of any contamination in plant recycling and waste containers.
- Maintain necessary documentation of waste inventories, inspections and other activities as required.
- Operate Burden carriers.
- Follow all plant-related safety guidelines.
- Sort and bale recyclable material.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience handling/disposing of plastic and recycling.
- Minimum of one-year experience in waste management.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to pass a drug test.
- Minimum of one year in an industrial, manufacturing setting. or waste management setting.
