Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Superintendent, located in Charleston County, SC. The Superintendent will oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities include managing construction schedules, supervising subcontractors, enforcing safety protocols, coordinating materials and equipment, and maintaining clear communication with project stakeholders. The role requires proactive problem-solving to address challenges or delays.
Qualifications
- Experience in site supervision, project management, and construction scheduling
- Experience with site work and concrete is a must for this role.
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols and quality control practices
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and team members
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools
- Ability to handle multiple construction projects and meet deadlines
- Previous experience in commercial construction is highly desirable
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus
