Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing resident inquiries, resolving conflicts, and maintaining positive relationships
- Oversee leasing activities using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite to maximize occupancy and upselling opportunities
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC requirements, and other legal standards
- Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management to uphold safety standards and aesthetic appeal
- Handle legal administrative tasks including contracts, lease agreements, and legal notices in accordance with landlord-tenant law
- Conduct regular property inspections and oversee repair requests using CMMS or similar systems to ensure timely resolution
- Maintain accurate data entry, filing systems, and recordkeeping for all property-related documents
- Manage conflict resolution among residents or staff through effective negotiation and conflict management skills
- Support leasing efforts through sales techniques and customer relationship management to attract new residents
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a focus on apartment communities
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, and LIHTC compliance
- Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in lease negotiations, contract management, and legal administrative procedures
- Ability to handle conflict effectively while maintaining a positive community atmosphere
- Familiarity with facilities management practices including property maintenance coordination and CMMS systems
- Office experience involving data entry, filing, and general administrative support
