Maintenance Technician - All Shifts (3245)

Performs maintenance functions for all manufacturing and related support equipment, grounds and facilities. Installation, troubleshooting, repair, servicing, and cleaning of same. Support & participate in ongoing TPM & TQM practices. Follow maintenance schedules and maintaining service records. Observe plant and departmental safety, operating, and housekeeping procedures. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Shifts: 

1st: 8:00am - 4:00pm 

2nd: 4:00pm - 12:00am 

3rd: 12:00am - 8:00am  

DUTIES:

· Installation, troubleshooting, repairs of all manufacturing & related equipment

· Maintain cleanliness of plant equipment and work areas

· Learn & utilize computer skills as it pertains to specific equipment and departmental scheduling & record keeping

· Practice lock-out / tag-out procedures

· Maintain inventory of supplies and spare components

· Participate in and support process improvement programs

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Mechanical & electrical maintenance skills (must provide proof of experience)

· Positive attitude toward teamwork & performing work assignments

· Sound written and verbal communication skills

· Self-motivated & self-directed, requiring minimal supervision

· Willing to work overtime as needed, including weekends, holidays, and other shift(s)

· Accept and complete company paid training as available and deemed necessary

· Must be able to use and understand a multimeter

· Must be comfortable working with heights

· Must have a good attendance record

· Basic computer skills/knowledge

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

· Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.

· Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.

· Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

· Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.

· Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.

· Crawling: Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
