Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work duties may include and will not be limited to the following:
• Report to supervisor/foreman at start of shift to receive assignments. • Assemble boxes and insert bags as required • Oil parts as specified on the factory work order. Use support equipment as required (impregnator, centrifuge, etc.). • Weigh, package and label part containers to customer specifications. • Palletize containers, band and wrap skids as required. • Complete all documents as required. • Submit all completed documents to office personnel. • Move parts to various locations as required. • Cleanliness: Keep area clean and orderly. Floors must be swept continuously and free of parts, excess oil and oil absorbent material. • Safety: always use caution when operating equipment. Follow all safety rules when operating hoists and electric pallet movers. • Other duties as communicated by the supervisor or foreman Physical Demands ▪ Must be able to walk to work area, walk around the assigned work area, to the break room, bathroom and other various areas of the plant. ▪ Requires visual acuity to inspect parts for defects, nonconformance, etc. during the packing process. ▪ Must be able to stand for entire scheduled shift. ▪ Requires bending, lifting 30-50# (throughout the shift), manual dexterity to manipulate parts and measuring instruments, repetitive arm movements (using either or both) arms/hands, – may vary during shift ▪ Must be able to physically move or transfer parts, boxes, skids, etc using appropriate apparatus including pushing, pulling, lifting and moving of barrels , boxes , etc. Production Standards, Quality Standards & Abilities ▪ Must complete safety training, work instruction training and various procedures training as presented by various departments and supervisors ▪ Be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals and record information etc. correctly on paperwork, boxes, ▪ Maintain work pace of other production workers, giving full attention to job duties. ▪ ▪ Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and stay on task with minimal supervision (following being given work instructions each day). ▪ Supervisor will advise of work assignment and any special instructions (at the beginning of and throughout the shift), coordinate training and provide any necessary additional information either verbally or in writing to help complete tasks accurately and on time. Language Skills ▪ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, Work Instructions, Work Orders, procedures training and others not defined here. Demonstrate ability to communicate orally and in writing with co-workers and supervisors. ▪ Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. ▪ Be able to complete all inspection forms as required, transfer information from one source to another and all other various clerical functions as instructed. Handwriting must be legible. Work Environment ▪ Responsible for keeping designated work area clean and orderly, remove any visually obvious safety hazards, sweep floors, clean tables, pick up any debris or parts that may have dropped and follow end of shift procedures. ▪ The performance of this position requires typical manufacturing safety protocol. Safety glasses and safety toe shoes are required to be worn by at all times in manufacturing areas of the plant. Temperature of the work area may be affected by outside temperatures and plant machinery. Appropriate industrial lighting is provided.
