THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION BASED IN WASHINGTON DC, USA

THE ROLE

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for developing and managing the entire B2B business in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico. You will be the voice of MPOWER for our end customers and partners in the region. The ideal candidate will be an expert at cultivating and nurturing strategic relationships and generating revenue with partners in the financial services and education industries. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Drafting and executing a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and set a strong footprint in the region in close collaboration with the broader leadership team
  • Providing in-depth market insights supported by extensive data and analysis to drive strategic decisions about resource investment and impact
  • Developing a network of partners that will engage with a suitable segment of consumers for our Student Loan product
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers at target institutions
  • Effectively articulating the features, benefits, and competitive advantages of our products, demonstrating a deep understanding of the international education opportunity granted by student loan
  • Representing MPOWER at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to promote MPOWER and our products
  • Preparing and delivering persuasive sales presentations and proposals, webinars, and pitches at forums to increase engagement and awareness with MPOWER’s partners and target population
  • Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of sales activities, pipeline management, and revenue forecasts to senior management and ultimately own the delivery of ambitious regional goals

The Qualifications

  • A postgraduate degree in business is preferred
  • 7 years of demonstrated consultative selling in financial services or Edtech
  • Proven track record of successfully managing B2B sales and delivering sales targets in the region
  • Deep network in the education and financial services space that can be leveraged and can open up new partnership opportunities or the ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to move between strategic thinking and details.
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus
  • Superior communication, presentation, and facilitation skills with the ability to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences
  • An understanding of the student journey to higher education in the US/Canada for international students

A passion for financial inclusion and access to higher education is a must, as well as comfort working with a global team across multiple time zones and locations!

In addition, you should be comfortable working in a fast-growth environment, meaning a small agile team, fast-evolving roles and responsibilities, variable workload, tight deadlines, a high degree of autonomy, and 80-20 everything.
