THE INTERNSHIP - Growth Marketing - Washington, D.C.
As a Growth Marketing intern you will join MPOWER’s global marketing team and take the lead on a high-impact campaign designed to drive student loan applications from one of our priority Asian markets. As a Growth Marketing Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience managing a full-funnel marketing initiative—while sharpening your skills in campaign development, social media marketing, and performance analysis.
We’re looking for interns who can think creatively and analytically, embrace ambiguity and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and have a solution-focused mindset driven by making an impact.
In addition, you should be comfortable working in a fast growth environment, meaning a small agile team, fast-evolving roles and responsibilities, variable workload, tight deadlines, a high degree of autonomy, and 80-20 everything.

- Designing and execute a localized marketing campaign focused on increasing high-quality student referrals through digital strategies.
- Partnering with student ambassadors and influencers to amplify MPOWER’s brand through authentic, culturally relevant storytelling.
- Developing and customizing content across platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube, and student networks to support peer-to-peer sharing.
- Creating key marketing assets—including landing pages, email sequences, social media content, and referral flows—to power and scale your campaign.
- Tracking campaign performance, interpret referral and engagement data, and present actionable insights that inform future initiatives.
- Master's degree in Marketing or related fields
- Strong networking skills with global exposure highly preferable
- Basic understanding of financial products, especially student loans and refinancing options
- Familiarity with marketing principles and social media platforms will be an advantage
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are a must
- Fintech/Edtech experience will be an advantage
- Self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability present complex information clearly and concisely to different stakeholders
