Position Summary
We are seeking a High School Principal for a partner school. The Principal will lead academic and culture priorities, oversee instruction and equitable outcomes, build staff capacity, and shape day-to-day school management. This role includes a planning year (SY25-26) alongside leadership partners and full principalship beginning in SY26-27.
Responsibilities
Planning Year (SY25-26):
- Build relationships with staff, students, families, and leaders
- Internalize the organization’s educational model
- Support student culture systems
- Coach teachers and leaders
- Shadow leadership to learn role responsibilities
- Lead strategic priorities
Full Principalship (SY26-27 ):
- Lead development of rigorous curriculum aligned to standards
- Systematically monitor instructional data and outcomes
- Drive high-performing school culture and routines
- Facilitate college and career program coordination
- Manage strategic school operations grounded in SEL and achievement data
- Recruit, train, and retain high-quality teachers and staff
- Lead professional development and coaching
- Supervise school leadership team
- Collaborate with network leadership, Board, and stakeholders
- Build whole-child support systems and tiered academic support
- Uphold compliance with special education requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
- 3 years teaching experience with success (preferably high school)
- 3 years school leadership experience with coaching and staff development
- Commitment to educational equity
- Strong communication, collaboration, and strategic leadership skills
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
