Position Summary
We are recruiting a Director of Academic Operations for a partner school in Brooklyn. This senior leadership role oversees academic operations systems, processes, and teams to ensure schools are equipped with curriculum materials, assessments, and instructional resources. The Director will lead strategy, manage teams, collaborate across departments, and improve systems that support high-quality instruction.
Responsibilities
- Set vision and strategy for academic operations in alignment with district priorities
- Oversee procurement, publications, assessments, and related workstreams
- Build and manage operational systems for efficiency and equity
- Lead, coach, and develop a cross-functional team
- Partner with curriculum, finance, operations, and legal teams to ensure smooth execution
- Monitor operational data and build continuous improvement systems
- Act as representative for academic operations in network planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
- 8 years of experience, including 4 years in leadership roles related to academic operations
- Proven track record building systems and leading teams in educational settings
- Familiarity with curriculum, assessments, and instructional materials preferred
Compensation
- Salary range: $90,000–$150,000 per year
