Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for a Controls Engineer based in Poughkeepsie, NY. The Controls Engineer will design, develop, and implement control systems for advanced automation equipment. Responsibilities include programming and configuring motion control and robotics systems, troubleshooting and optimizing electrical components, and maintaining process control systems to ensure reliable and efficient operations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet customer and project specifications will also be a key aspect of this role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Process Control and Motion Control systems
- Strong background in Electrical Engineering and practical troubleshooting skills
- Experience in Robotics and automated systems
- Experienced HMI programmer. Indusoft is desirable.
- Experienced PLC programmer. Omron, AB, and Siemens are desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Familiarity with industrial automation standards and practices
- Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics and technical documents
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Relevant industry experience is a plus
