What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Manager - Migration position at Mphasis?
A seasoned Service Delivery Manager / Delivery Manager who demonstrates initiative, innovation, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The role will provide end-to-end delivery leadership for critical Data Center Migration programs and oversee Service Operations and Continual Service Improvement (CSI) processes aligned to ITIL Service Operations. The incumbent will lead multi-wave migration planning and execution, drive cutover readiness and war-room governance, and deliver weekly client reporting with clear visibility on progress, risks, dependencies, and actions
In this Role, You Will:
· A. Data Center Migration Delivery (Primary)
- Lead end-to-end DC migration delivery across Compute/VM, Databases, Middleware, Storage, Network, and Observability towers—ensuring integrated execution and issue-free cutovers.
- Own migration wave planning: application/infrastructure grouping, migration calendar, runbooks, entry/exit criteria, freeze windows, and rollback strategies.
- Drive cutover governance: readiness assessments, dress rehearsals, command center / war room orchestration, go/no-go checkpoints, and hyper care stabilization.
- Manage cross-tower dependencies (VM/DB/MW/Storage/NW/Observability), coordinate with client and partners/vendors, and ensure timely closure of prerequisites.
- Ensure delivery is executed with strong risk, issue, change and dependency management, including RAID logs, mitigation tracking, and escalation management.
B. Service Delivery & ITIL Service Operations
- Facilitate and provide oversight of Service Operations and CSI/Service Improvement Plans, ensuring service stability and measurable outcomes.
- Review and maintain service delivery artifacts and governance cadence (service plans, stakeholder communication, reporting, and continuous improvements).
- Analyze service performance trends and drive refinements in delivery processes; ensure lessons learned are documented and standardized.
- Collaborate with other service managers to ensure consistency of delivery, adherence to best practices, and continuous improvement.
C. Client Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Produce week-on-week executive updates covering: wave progress, milestones, risks/issues, dependency blockers, upcoming cutovers, and support needed.
- Own senior stakeholder management across client IT leadership, security/compliance stakeholders, and internal delivery leadership.
- Ensure crisp, accurate, metrics-driven reporting and a single source of truth for program status.
D. Leadership & Execution Ownership
- Demonstrate ability to drive independently when needed, mobilize the right stakeholders, and bring teams together to resolve blockers and execute cutovers.
- Mentor tower leads / process managers and ensure delivery discipline across planning, execution, validation, and stabilization.

- 15 years overall IT experience
- 10 years in a hands-on Technical Project Manager / Delivery Manager role (driving delivery and execution)
- Strong preference for candidates with proven delivery in BFSI / Banking / Financial Services programs

- Experience managing multi‑tower infrastructure migrations spanning Compute/VMs, Databases, Middleware, Storage, Network, and Observability
- Demonstrated ability to manage migration dependencies and risks across infra, application, network, and security teams without being hands‑on
- Solid understanding of migration methodologies, runbooks, rollback strategies, and change freeze planning in regulated enterprise environments
- Experience operating in change‑controlled environments, including CAB governance, risk assessment, and approval management
- Strong capability to lead cutover command centers / war rooms, drive issue triage, decision‑making, and executive communication during critical windows
