Java Automation Test Engineer

Location: Chandler, AZ

Duration: Long Term Contract

HandsOn Java Development Automation Test Engineer

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in Java development
  • Expertise in Selenium WebDriver for UI test automation
  • Solid experience with Cucumber and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
    • Writing and maintaining Gherkin feature files
    • Implementing step definitions and test runners
  • Experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks

Good to Have

  • Experience with Karate or Playwright
  • API Testing experience (REST APIs, request/response validation)
  • Exposure to Database testing
    • Writing basic SQL queries
    • Validating data between UI/API and database

Additional Expectations

  • Strong understanding of test automation best practices
  • Ability to collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams
  • Good debugging and problemsolving skills
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools is a plus
