AkamCare Health in Corona, CA is looking for one medical assistant to join our 4 person strong team. We are located on 2815 S. Main St. Suite 200. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working.
Responsibilities
- Take patient vitals and room for provider
- Organize exam and treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Complete basic routine medical procedures
- Record accurate patient documentation through EMR System
- Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies
- Insurance Verification; working knowledge of PPO, HMO, Medicare, Medicaid and Workers Compensation
- Assist Back Office Tasks as assigned
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certified Medical Assistant Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program.
- 1 Year or more of solid work experience working in a medical field; pain management experience preferred, but not required
- Familiarity working with medical equipment
- High attention to accuracy and detail with exceptional organizational skills
- Bilingual; preferred but not required
- Call Center Experience
