What are the responsibilities and job description for the HWO/Snubbing Floorhand position at MPH ENERGY SERVICES?
MPH Energy Services continues to expand its well intervention capabilities, and we are actively seeking an experienced Floorhand to join our Hydraulic Workover / Snubbing team.
We are looking for disciplined professionals who understand live well environments, execute with precision, and prioritize safety at every stage of the operation. This position plays a critical role in supporting field crews during pressure-control and pipe-handling operations across offshore and land-based well intervention projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with work basket operations
- Support tripping pipe operations with the HWO/Snubbing unit
- Assist in maintaining pressure control equipment, including BOPs, stripping rams, and annulars
- Support rig-up and rig-down procedures
- Participate in JSAs, BOSS cards, and pre-job planning meetings
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas on location
- Follow supervisor instructions and assist the crew in all phases of well intervention operations
Requirements
- 1 years of oilfield experience preferred, including workover, snubbing, coiled tubing, rig operations, or well intervention
- Experience working around pressure control equipment and hydraulic systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb, bend, and work in elevated environments
- Comfortable working long hours, offshore rotations, nights, and weekends
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must be dependable and able to respond to call-outs and schedule changes
- Ability to work safely in fast-paced, high-pressure field environments
