Job Description:
As a Generator Installation Technician at MPE Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients have reliable power backup systems in place. Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing, inspecting, and maintaining generators of various sizes and brands
- Collaborating with project managers to ensure timely and accurate installation
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues
- Conducting load testing and ensuring generators meet performance specifications
- Safely operating hand and power tools to complete installation tasks
- always Complying with safety protocols and industry standards
- Keeping detailed records of installation and maintenance work
- Providing excellent customer service and addressing client questions and concerns
- Participating in ongoing training to stay up to date with industry advancements
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in electrical systems is a plus
- Certified Generac Generator Installer (preferred)
- Proven experience in generator installation and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Familiarity with local electrical codes and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions
- A commitment to safety and the ability to follow safety protocols
