Lead the Cut: Guide a High-Performing Laser/Turret Cell At MPE, we design, engineer, and build solutions that advance medical and technology industries. A day on second shift (2:30 pm–11:00 pm, Monday–Friday): Review the production schedule and confirm priorities with your second-shift team.Set up and operate turret/laser equipment (including CNC Laser Cutter – Amada) to cut metal components to print and MPE quality standards.Run laser/punch zero coupon at the start of shift; perform nozzle alignment and clean focus lenses to ensure optimal performance.Assemble, disassemble, and sharpen turret tooling; perform accurate setups and changeovers.Load and unload material using manual lifts, overhead cranes, and forklifts; verify raw materials.Use the Inspecvision scanner to verify part accuracy; document findings and share daily with supervisors.Troubleshoot issues as they arise, guiding teammates through solutions to maintain throughput and quality.Flex as needed to shakeout (part separation), deburring, hardware insertion, or press brake operations.Champion safety and 5S: follow all MPE safety policies and keep work areas organized and clean. What you bring High school diploma or equivalent.6–18 months operating laser equipment preferred.Leadership experience in a lead or coordinator capacity.Ability to read mechanical drawings; fluent with standard and metric dimensions.Proficient with measuring tools: calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and height gauges. Physical and mental demands Stand for extended periods; operate machinery; lift up to 50 lbs.Read and interpret written instructions and blueprints.Strong measuring and inspection aptitude.
