OVERVIEW:
Senior Retirement Plan Administrator is the primary contact for an assigned book of plans. This candidate will be responsible for the A-Z annual plan administration of 401(k), Profit Sharing, Defined Benefit and Cash Balance Plans. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Primary contact managing annual administration for approximately 120-150 plans.
- Annual plan administrations of 401(k), Profit Sharing, Defined Benefit and Cash Balance Plans.
- Preparation and calculations of eligibility, contributions, testing, compliance and reconciling trust accounts.
- Distribution calculations and processing with recordkeepers and PenChecks.
- Preparing and filing Form 5500's.
- Preparation of plan amendments/restatements, plan terminations and IRS audits as case load demands.
- Coordinate with Actuary to get contribution and valuations for pension plans.
- Collaborate with clients, advisors, auditors and recordkeepers platforms
WHAT YOU NEED:
- At least 2 years of experience in the retirement plan service area or related field.
- An understanding plan types, eligibility, vesting, contributions (employee/employer), distributions and participant loans.
- Proficiency in ADP/ACP testing, Coverage testing, identifying highly compensated and key employees, 401(a)(4) testing, 410(b) testing, Top Heavy testing and government reporting.
- Familiarity with ERISA requirements, IRS and DOL regulations and fiduciary responsibilities.
- Proficient with recordkeeping platforms.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to track multiple tasks and issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of Relius Administration, Government Forms, FT Williams system a plus.
- ASPPA designations or equivalent a plus.
