Mopec is currently searching for a Financial Analyst to join our finance team on site in Madison Heights, MI.
The Financial Analyst will work as part of the Finance team. In this position, the Financial Analyst will compile, consolidate and report financial results, forecasts, and annual budgets. The Financial Analyst will perform ad hoc reporting and complete financial analysis. Additional duties include planning, reconciliation, expense reporting, and monthly bank reconciliation. This is an on-site position and physical presence in the office is required.
Essential/Key Functions
- Compile, consolidate, and report financial results, forecasts, and annual budgets
- Financial analysis
- Ad hoc reporting
- Administration of Workday Adaptive Planning
- Administration of Sage fixed asset accounting
- Reconcile and book monthly SAP Concur expenses and reporting
- Administration and reconciliation of Avalara sales tax reporting
- Monthly bank reconciliation
- Escalate matters of significance to plant controller or CFO
- Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
- Follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner
- Physical presence on the job is essential and necessary including weekends and holidays if deemed necessary by the company
- Other duties as assigned by management
Minimum (Required) Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum five years’ experience in accounting and financial analysis
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, SAP Concur, Sage Fixed Asset, Avalara Sales Tax System, Infor Visual ERP, and/or QuickBooks a plus
