Responsibilities
- Safely ascend trees using climbing gear and rigging techniques to perform pruning, trimming, or removal operations.
- Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access high branches or perform elevated tasks efficiently.
- Use chainsaws and other hand tools to cut branches or remove entire trees with precision and care.
- Implement arborist rigging methods for controlled tree dismantling or branch lowering to prevent property damage or injury.
- Conduct plant pruning care and tree trimming to promote healthy growth and enhance landscape aesthetics.
- Apply GIS (Geographic Information System) tools for mapping and planning tree maintenance routes or assessments.
- Follow strict safety protocols during all activities, including proper equipment use, hazard assessment, and emergency procedures.
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, or general horticulture when needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in outdoor work environments with a focus on tree care or landscaping.
- Strong knowledge of arborist rigging techniques, tree removal processes, and pruning standards.
- Skilled in operating bucket trucks, chainsaws, and other relevant equipment safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with GIS mapping tools for site assessments or planning purposes.
- Ability to perform plant pruning care and tree trimming with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to climbing, rigging, bucket operation, and chainsaw use.
- Growing experience in horticulture, dendrology (study of trees), or landscape maintenance is highly desirable.
- Excellent physical condition with the ability to climb trees comfortably for extended periods while maintaining safety standards.
