Find your purpose and passion at Mozarc Medical.   Position Title:  Principal Chemical Engineer (Minneapolis Hybrid) A Day in the Life An experienced individual contributor and technology leader with responsibility in our technical functions to advance chemical sensor design and choice in our dialysis technologies.   Scopes, designs, plans, aligns deliverables and/or manages projects assigned and collaborates with other stakeholders to deliver products to the dialysis community.  May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other more junior professionals.  The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies – from design to implementation - while adhering to policies and quality systems, using chemical process, controls, and sensor knowledge as well as skills in bringing new technologies to the market.   Responsibilities: Analyzes, researches, designs, develops, and selects chemical sensor and chemical process solutions for use in engineering design, fabrication, processes, and/or application in renal care products.   Develops, analyzes, and applies foundational chemical sensors and process controls knowledge for selection, design needs, process requirements, and quality engineering specifications. Technology analysis may include failure analysis of components, systems and subsystems, life predictions, biocompatibility, extraction, chemical selection, and definition and requirement specifications. May review and approve procedures and specifications and/or define external vendor requirements. Support root cause analysis and processes related to chemical process and engineering design needs.    Document work in accordance with quality system requirements and applicable standards (FDA, ISO, USP, etc.) Willingness and capability to apply knowledge and skills cross-functionally to support R&D programs. Key technical owner to scope, communicate, and collaborate on technical goals and needs cross-functionally to achieve technical program milestones. Coach and mentor early career scientists and engineers. Ensure chemical sensor, chemical process, and related competencies are sustained and grown in the Chemical Technologies R&D group.     Must Have:   Bachelor’s degree and and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience Experience working chemical sensors and/or chemical process controls  Nice to have Experience in late stage R&D and launching products. Paper based sensors experience. Labview and/or PLC usage Electrochemical expertise and/or experience. Experience in highly regulated industries such as medical device, pharmaceutical or life sciences. Salary : $109,875 - $183,125
