Position Title: Global Strategic Sourcing Manager
A Day in the Life
The position will support and own key initiatives relevant to global commodity strategies. Through strategic leadership, the individual will facilitate or support Mozarc Mfg. Material Supply discussions that will optimize the commodity in terms of quality, service, technology, market intelligence, risk, and total cost of ownership. In addition, this individual will be responsible for leveraging strategic sourcing processes across Mozarc by maximizing the company’s combined purchase power to reduce overall cost of ownership and acquisition through strategic negotiations and optimizing supplier relationship management opportunities through partnerships within their primary categories.
Responsibilities
The individual will have overall responsibility for leading a cross-functional, cross-divisional programs in the development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned suppliers, in support of business objectives for driving improved supplier relationship management, improved service, quality assurance, advancing technology with R&D / new product development teams, risk reduction / mitigation, and delivering lowest total cost of ownership. This individual will be responsible for strategies that extend through the full supply chain including primary and sub-tier component suppliers.

Supply Strategy Development & Commercial Agreements:
- Support Development & deployment global category strategy roadmap in alignment with Mozarc Mfg. Operations
- Negotiate agreements with suppliers including purchasing, development, supply, VMI, etc.
- Monitor agreements for compliance and drive supplier accountability.
- Partners closely with Mozarc legal department to deliver best in calls working contract terms / language.
- Cost improvement & performance.
- Total cost management of assigned suppliers.
- Supports long term cost optimization roadmaps.
- Identify and appropriately leverage technology innovation from commodity supply base.
- Utilizes analytics & metrics to identify, organize suppliers accordingly, in conjunction with Mozarc Mfg. Operations.
- Plays a lead role in cross-network negotiations and supplier relationship management.
- Working with internal and external resources, responsible for driving commodity rationalization, simplification, localization. Focus on identification of synergies and identification, forming and leveraging strategic alliances.
- Leads efforts for category/supplier analysis, selection processes, make/buy, outsourcing, & business transitions.
- Global market intelligence for key spend categories and provide insights to support network optimization opportunities.
- Obtain and communicate market condition and technology trend information regarding commodities and suppliers. Implement appropriate business opportunities driving value to the enterprise.
- Develop market & category risk reduction strategies in partnership with Mozarc Mfg. Operations.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Finance Preferred
- Experience in polymers, injection molding, packaging, extrusions
- Knowledge of applicable FDA/GMP and International medical device regulations and standards.
- Experience in medical device or pharma industry.
- Knowledge of ISO Standards.
- PMI Certified
- ISM Certified
- Knowledge with specific technologies to applicable categories.
- Lean Sigma experience
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
