Duties
- Lead and supervise a crew of landscape technicians in mowing, trimming, planting, and general landscape maintenance activities
- Plan daily work schedules and assign tasks to team members to maximize efficiency and quality
- Ensure all landscaping projects adhere to safety standards and company policies
- Perform quality checks on completed work to maintain high standards of lawn care, gardening, and horticulture practices
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems
- Provide training and mentorship to crew members on landscaping techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to coordinate project timelines and address any issues promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, lawn care, gardening, or horticulture with a focus on mowing operations
- Supervising or leadership experience in outdoor or construction settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques including tree care, irrigation systems, and general garden maintenance
- Ability to operate landscaping machinery safely and efficiently
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards common goals
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment use
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; capable of standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods
