What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hairstylist / Colorist position at Moxie Salon and Beauty Bar - South Orange?

We provide high quality hair care to our clients. Open 8 AM - 8 PM 7 days a week.
Looking for full-time & part-time stylist positions. Three years of salon experience is preferred. We're a full service salon specializing in haircuts, updos, braids, color, keratin, extensions, makeup, spray tans, weddings and more! Must be someone reliable who is looking to grow their career as a stylist.
Your Role:
- Performing client consultations
- Performing blowouts, haircuts, color services, and extensions (makeup, lashes, or nails are a plus!)
- Recommending hairstyles and haircuts based on your professional expertise
- Upselling hair care products or services when appropriate
- Shampooing clients' hair and forming bonds with loyal customers
- Willing to work in a fast pace environment
Skills Required:
- Valid NJ Cosmetology license
- Previous experience as a Hair Stylist, Hair Colorist, or similar role
- Proficiency in blowouts - straightening and curling methods using hot irons and curlers
- Hands-on experience with various coloring techniques.
- Experience with Goldwell is a plus
- Familiarity with hair treatment products and services, like keratin smoothing
- Excellent communication skills and flexibility to work in shifts
Hour pay is determined based on your experience.
