The Elevator Service Helper is responsible for assisting experienced technicians in the repair, maintenance, and installation of elevators, wheelchair lifts, and other vertical transportation equipment. Daily tasks include equipment inspections, troubleshooting mechanical or electrical issues, and ensuring job sites are safe and properly prepared. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Davie, FL, and requires hands-on work in both commercial and residential settings under various environmental conditions.
- Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Understanding of safety protocols and procedures, especially in relation to mechanical equipment and work sites.
- Capable of heavy lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces or at heights.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to support service technicians and other team members.
- Ability to follow instructions, learn on the job, and adapt to technical challenges.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in mechanics, electrical systems, or related fields is a plus.
- Previous experience in construction, mechanics, or a related industry is an advantage but not mandatory.
