We are seeking an experienced Second Shift Maintenance Technician to support plant operations during evening hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, and performing repairs on industrial machinery to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production performance.
Work Environment
- In-Office from Belfast, ME
- Morning Shift | Monday – Friday | 7:00AM – 3:30PM
- Evening Shift | Monday – Friday | 1:00PM – 9:30PM
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on production and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and special projects.
- Record maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, and team members.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Participate in an on-call rotation (supplemental pay provided).
- Weekend work may be required for installations, repairs, or projects.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Able to climb ladders and work safely at heights using fall protection.
- Familiarity with all Ducktrap equipment; this is a plant-wide role.

Qualifications and Skills
- 2–3 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of pneumatic and electrical systems.
- Proficient with standard hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Basic computer skills: experience with CMMS software preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated, safety-focused, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or mechanical technology preferred.
- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field a plus.
