Outpatient Mental Health Therapist

Pleasant Grove, Utah | Part-Time or Full-Time | Flexible Schedule

Moving Forward Counseling has expanded into Utah County, and we are seeking an experienced therapist to join our Pleasant Grove office.

Our Pleasant Grove location provides outpatient therapy and medication management services for children, adolescents, and adults. We are looking for a clinician who values flexibility, professional independence, and the support of an established group practice.

About the Position

This role is ideal for an experienced therapist who is currently working in a group or agency setting and has an established caseload, referral base, or professional network. Any transition of existing clients must comply with applicable ethical, contractual, and legal requirements.

Clinicians will focus exclusively on general outpatient therapy. Most sessions are conducted in person, although telehealth appointments may also be available. Therapists providing telehealth services must be licensed in Utah.

Schedule

You will have the flexibility to create a schedule that works for you, including daytime, evening, and weekend availability.

• Part-time: Approximately 10–20 sessions per week
• Full-time: Approximately 21–32 sessions per week
• Minimum availability of approximately 15 hours per week

Compensation

• Fully licensed clinicians: $55–$65 per therapy session
• Intake sessions: $65–$75 per session
• Compensation is based on experience, training, specialization, and the value brought to the practice

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, or couples therapy to children, adolescents, and adults
• Complete clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Comply with HIPAA, professional ethics, and applicable state regulations
• Coordinate care with medication providers and other healthcare professionals when appropriate
• Provide crisis assessment, safety planning, and clinical support as needed
• Use evidence-based and trauma-informed treatment approaches
• Participate in consultation, training, and practice development activities as appropriate

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related behavioral health field
• Current Utah license or associate license as a:

  • LMFT
  • ACMHC
  • CSW
  • MFT
• Previous outpatient therapy experience
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
• Knowledge of HIPAA and professional ethical standards
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a clinical team
• Experience with crisis intervention and evidence-based treatment approaches
• Established caseload, referral relationships, or professional network strongly preferred
