What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tutor position at Moving Challenges for Students?
The Tutor will primarily conduct both group and individual tutoring sessions focusing on core subjects for students in grades K-6. Tutor must be able to plan lessons to fill educational gaps as well as diversify learning programs in an inclusive environment. Working primarily in-person, the Tutor aims to fill educational gaps and advance student learning by aligning with the curriculum and adapting teaching methods to each learner's needs. Reporting to a Senior Tutor, this role involves consistent communication with parents and monitoring student progress to ensure effective learning outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct group tutoring sessions to address common learning gaps
- Provide individualized support tailored to student needs
- Plan lessons aligned with curriculum standards
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly
- Evaluate student performance and identify areas for improvement
- Coach students on effective study and learning skills

Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of tutoring experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject area
- Strong subject matter expertise in core subjects
