Warehouse & Moving Operations Assistant

Let’s Get Moving is a growing professional moving company serving the Denver metro area and long-distance customers. We are looking for a reliable, motivated, hands-on Warehouse & Moving Operations Assistant to join our team.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced work environment, is comfortable working with customers and employees, and can take responsibility for day-to-day moving, truck rental, crew, and warehouse operations.

Job Responsibilities

The Warehouse & Moving Operations Assistant will be responsible for a variety of operational duties, including:

Truck Rental Management

• Manage daily truck rental operations.
• Check trucks in and out.
• Inspect trucks before and after rentals.
• Document truck condition, mileage, fuel levels, and any damage.
• Coordinate truck availability and scheduling.
• Communicate with customers regarding truck pickup and return procedures.
• Ensure trucks are clean, organized, and ready for the next customer.

Moving Crew Management

• Help coordinate and manage crews for local and long-distance moves.
• Assign crews to scheduled jobs and ensure they have the necessary equipment and paperwork.
• Monitor crew arrival times and job progress.
• Communicate with movers and drivers throughout the day.
• Help resolve operational issues that may arise during moves.
• Ensure crews follow company procedures and provide professional customer service.

Hands-On Moving

• Perform actual moving work when needed.
• Load and unload household and commercial goods.
• Safely handle furniture, boxes, appliances, and other items.
• Assist with packing, wrapping, loading, unloading, and placement of customers' belongings.
• Work alongside moving crews when additional help is needed.
• Maintain a professional and respectful attitude when working inside customers' homes and businesses.

Warehouse & Storage Management

• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations.
• Receive and check in customers' belongings.
• Organize household goods in storage.
• Maintain accurate storage records and inventory.
• Prepare shipments for pickup and delivery.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse.
• Monitor warehouse access and ensure proper handling of customers' property.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks at the warehouse.

General Operations

• Help keep the facility, trucks, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
• Assist management with daily operational tasks.
• Communicate professionally with customers, movers, drivers, and vendors.
• Help ensure scheduled moves and truck rentals operate smoothly.
• Be willing to take on additional responsibilities as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in moving, warehouse operations, logistics, truck rental, or transportation is preferred.
• Moving industry experience is a strong plus.
• Previous experience supervising or coordinating employees is preferred.
• Must be comfortable performing physical labor and moving heavy furniture and boxes.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items safely.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to drive larger rental or moving trucks is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and responsible.
• Ability to work independently and make good decisions.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-service oriented and professional.
• Must be willing to work weekends and flexible hours when needed.
• Must be a team player who is willing to lead from the front and work alongside the moving crews.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who wants more than a typical warehouse position.

The right candidate will be someone who can manage operations, work with crews, interact with customers, organize a warehouse, manage trucks, and jump in and do the work when needed.

You should be comfortable switching between responsibilities throughout the day. One day may involve checking in rental trucks and organizing the warehouse, while another may require helping a crew load a truck or coordinating a long-distance shipment.

Reliability, leadership, work ethic, and a positive attitude are extremely important for this position.

Compensation

Pay: $20 per hour, depending on experience

Additional opportunities for increased responsibility and advancement are available for the right candidate.

Schedule

Full-time position

Schedule may include:

• Monday–Friday
• Weekends as needed
• Early mornings and occasional evenings depending on moving schedules
