JOB SUMMARY:
The Associate Instructor for Programs is a passionate, motivated individual who loves to work with and teach people of all ages, provides a great customer experience, and has a desire to grow in the climbing community! Involves teaching adult bouldering or technique skill classes at the V1-V6 range, all while managing risks for participants during our various programs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate transformative climbing experiences while managing risks for participants and the community at large.
- Communicate effectively with clients of all ages and abilities while demonstrating empathy and compassion.
- Provide excellent customer service for all guests by seeking answers and solutions for customer questions.
- Teach climbing skills from provided curriculums and create inclusive spaces that foster a sense of belonging.
- Write weekly lesson plans that support the program’s goals and participant growth and promote connection to our community.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with co-workers and supervisors about feedback and concerns.
- Speak open and honestly; asking for help when needed and look to learn from mistakes.
- Develop skills to effectively communicate with others and listen to other perspectives to build partnerships.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Have a passion for climbing, yoga, or fitness, or an interest in engaging with our community, and show a growth mindset through a willingness to learn and a sense of curiosity.

Is able to consistently work Wednesdays from 6-9pm for our adult PPT team.

Monday and/or Tuesday 6-9pm secondary availability for internment adult technique classes.

Has 1 years of coaching experience.

Is able to create weekly training plans for 3 or more participants.

Is comfortable with bouldering and teaching skills to participants from V1 to V6

Has good communication skills both in person and virtually

Is able to teach beginner classes with curriculum provided in advance

Starting at $19.68/hr, with flexibility based on experience
