What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Materials Scientist position at Movement Search & Delivery?
Movement Search & Delivery is working with an industry leader with a growing location outside of Athens, GA, looking to expand its Research and Development team. This is a permanent role with incredible benefits and profit sharing.
The Research Scientist will serve as a technical resource for research and product development with a focus on raw material technology, operational innovation, and new product development. This position is a key role in leading these initiatives and the company's future growth. This position develops close working relationships with Customers, Suppliers, Marketing, Sales, Legal and Manufacturing teams. Coordinates third-party testing and evaluation plans while managing the internal testing regimen of the lab. The right candidate will have a strong balance of conceptual thinking and concrete project management skills. This role will work on the full material development life cycle from bench chemistry to pilot production to product introduction. The role will work cross-functionally with Customers, Suppliers, Marketing, Sales, Legal, and Manufacturing teams.
Required:
- BS or BA degree with 7 years’ experience, MS with 5 Years, or PhD with 3 Years (Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science)
- 5 years of product development experience with inorganic materials
- Product development and/or project management experience preferred.
