What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Specialist position at Movement Search & Delivery?
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support plant operations by driving effective sourcing, supplier management, and purchasing activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring materials and services are delivered on time, at the right cost, and to required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue RFQs and evaluate supplier quotes to determine best value (cost, quality, delivery).
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times to meet operational goals.
- Create and manage purchase orders to support production and maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate PO data, including pricing, coding, and delivery commitments.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams.
- Partner cross-functionally (Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, etc.) to address procurement issues.
- Support supplier onboarding and new item setup.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and audit requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).
- Ability to access export-controlled information as required.
Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
