On behalf of Geraci LLP, we are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Closing Specialist to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring transactions are processed smoothly, accurately, and on time. The Closing Specialist will work directly with the attorney handling the file, manage all documentation and compliance requirements, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and serve as the final checkpoint before deals are completed.


Key Responsibilities

Document Preparation & Review

  • Drafts or reviews closing packages (deeds, settlement statements, loan docs, title commitments, affidavits).
  • Ensures all documents comply with state law and lender/investor requirements.


Title & Lien Checks

  • Works with title companies to confirm a clear title.
  • Coordinates the resolution of liens, encumbrances, or title defects before closing.


Coordination Between Parties

  • Acts as a liaison among buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, title companies, and attorneys.
  • Ensures everyone has the right paperwork and knows when/where to sign.


Scheduling & Closing Logistics

  • Sets the closing appointment.
  • Ensure notarization, signing, and delivery of final documents are completed.


Post-Closing Work

  • Submits documents for recording with the county.
  • Ensures title insurance policies are issued.
  • Confirms escrow is reconciled and funds are properly disbursed.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: College diploma or Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, finance, paralegal studies, or related field 
  • Experience: Prior experience in real estate transactions, escrow, title, mortgage, or lending is highly valued.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking ability.
  • Familiarity with title reports, deeds, escrow instructions, and closing disclosures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 
  • Communication skills to coordinate with clients, lenders, brokers, and county recorders.
  • 2–5 years of escrow, title, or real estate law experience.
  • Knowledge of California real estate law, closing practices, and recording requirements.
  • Ability to read and clear title commitments.
  • Notary commission is desirable but not required.
  • Two professional references and a valid criminal background check issued within the last 60 days are required for all successful applicants.


  • Completion of intake paperwork, including submission of a valid tax identification number (e.g., Social Security Number, Social Insurance Number, or the country’s equivalent), is required before onboarding.


Working Hours:

Full Time (40 hours per week)

Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Pacific Time
