General Manager

Move It TN is looking for an ambitious, trustworthy, and entrepreneurial General Manager to help lead and grow our moving company in both Knoxville and Chattanooga TN.

This is not a 8-5, M-F, sit-behind-a-desk management job. You’ll be involved in the business from the ground up—leading moving crews, helping close sales, building relationships, recruiting great people, and finding new ways to grow the company.

What You’ll Do

Lead and manage moving crews and help ensure every job is professional, efficient, and customer-focused (Project Management)

Work in the field and lift/move furniture alongside the team when needed (Ops Management)

Generate leads, build relationships, market Move It TN, and close new customers (Marketing)

Recruit and develop a reliable network of part-time movers (HR)

Build relationships with groups that can provide great employees—college organizations, churches, gyms, sports teams, friend groups, etc. (HR)

Help manage scheduling, staffing, customer relationships, and day-to-day operations

Identify opportunities to improve the business and increase revenue (Ops)

Take ownership of performance and help grow Move It TN into additional markets (Marketing)

Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply. Someone who is active, works out, plays sports, is involved in a church or organization, and has a network in the community who would be good part-time employees could be an especially strong fit.

The Opportunity

There is significant earning potential tied to hitting clear, achievable goals. A strong performer can realistically earn $60,000–$70,000 in their first year, with opportunities for additional bonuses, a company pickup truck, and increased responsibility.

As the company grows, our bonus structure creates the potential to earn $100,000 annually in Year 2 and beyond, with the possibility of earning equity in the company for exceptional long-term performance.
