We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-focused professional to join our global Knowledge team. In this role, you’ll work closely with colleagues across our law firm-led professional services business to deliver a seamless, client-focused service that supports our people and enhances how we share, manage and access knowledge.
As part of our Jersey-based team, your work will be varied and rewarding — from maintaining our knowledge systems and library collections, to supporting global research requests, coordinating training sessions, and getting involved in a range of projects and initiatives across the firm. You'll be an important part of the team that ensures our people have the information they need, when they need it.
About the role
In this role you will:
Add, replace and remove documents and multimedia materials on the knowledge systems
Assist with the maintenance of certain knowledge collections in relevant databases
Assist with house style, proofreading, formatting and review of knowledge materials
Run reports and collate data on the usage of knowledge resources
Process hard-copy library materials for the Library collection (journal check-in, cataloguing new books, loose-leaf filing)
Support the Knowledge Operations Manager in the management of the firm's hardcopy and online collections, including administration of invoices
Manage the administration and distribution of electronic journals
Maintain and distribute horizon scanning trackers and emails
Deal with basic enquiries and document requests using the global enquiry system
Maintain and coordinate the schedule of knowledge training sessions for the Jersey office
Assist the Knowledge Operations Manager and Knowledge Lawyers with other initiatives and projects as required
About you – essential requirements
A high degree of initiative, pro-activity and practical problem solving skills and a willingness to take ownership for the completion of tasks or projects.
A client focused approach with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi task and re-prioritise when needed to meet urgent deadlines or changed priorities.
Professional, approachable with the ability to successfully work as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail.
Previous experience in a law firm or other professional services environment
Excellent technical skills in MS Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel
Library experience or qualifications desirable but not essential
