What are the responsibilities and job description for the Benefits Coordinator position at Mountaire?
The position of Benefits Coordinator will provide new hires with a complete understanding of the benefits programs that Mountaire offers in addition to assisting existing current employees with a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to administration of the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)/Leave of Absence (LOA), 401k, hardship/short-term disability (STD)/long-term disability (LTD) requests and all other benefit sign-ups and assistance.
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, with an occasional Saturday (approx. 4 per year) and the shift is 8:00am-5:00pm.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct new hire orientations weekly for dayshift, potential night shift coverage if needed.
- Process and manage leave of absences for hourly employees.
- Assist employees with 401k loans, hardship and/or short-term disability (STD) claims.
- Assist employees with medical claim issues, inform employees of court orders, order insurance cards, education reimbursement, etc.
- Assist with service award celebrations, anniversary gift distributions, Total Quality Service (TQS), update monthly lunch & learn posters, handle departmental inventory and order needed supplies.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required. Associate or Bachelors degree preferred.
- Administrative/Office experience, Benefits experience preferred.
- Bilingual (French/ Haitian Creole/ Spanish) highly preferred.
- Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) certifications.
