What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Operator position at Mountaire Jobs?
Primary Purpose
A Water Operator Lvl C possesses a Water Operator license (May be in the process of certification; employment is conditional on passing the certification test.) Will have at least 1 year of acceptable operating experience. Operates mostly under supervision. Third shift. 11PM to 7:30AM
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervised operation of the water treatment system.
- Maintenance of water equipment and wells.
- Performs process control lab work.
- Adheres to all safety requirements, including personal protective equipment (PPE), preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, lockout-tagout procedures and process safety management related matters.
- Assists with compliance documentation and recordkeeping.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- Active Water Operator license or working on certification.
- 1 year of acceptable operating experience.
- DE: Recertify every 2 years with completion of 20 hours of approved training within that timeframe.
