Primary Purpose
Coordinates programs focused on new employee training and onboarding. Assists new employees in the activities of the processing departments to achieve goals for customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and yield; as well as to reduce employee absenteeism and turnover—particularly with employees within their first 90 days of employment. Day Shift.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Supports new employees on the Production floor as they transition into their new role, including tracking skills improvement to meet certification level.
- Monitors absenteeism of new hires, including contacting employees if absent.
- Leads the new hire onboarding program by presenting in orientation and providing translation as needed.
- Assists in roundtable meetings and activities directed by the Complex Human Resources Manager and Employee Relations Manager to improve retention and turnover.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two years of experience in a comparable role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to teach and coach others.
- Patience and adaptability.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
- Preferred: bilingual in Haitian Creole and Spanish.
