What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic Feedmill position at Mountaire Jobs?
Feedmill Mechanics perform routine preventative maintenance and repair for all feed mill related equipment. Conducts daily review of all feed mill equipment to ensure continuous operation at optimum levels. Adequately maintains the overall working condition of all equipment within the feed Mill and effectively perform all the duties required for a maintenance supervisor set by the standards at Mountaire. This position is for our second shift (2:00PM to 12:30AM)
Duties/Activities Required by Job
- Complete all preventive maintenance, keep accurate records, parts requisitions, and inventory management.
- Inspect feed mill equipment daily, detect potential mechanical and electrical problems and implement solutions.
- Respond to breakdowns, assess and coordinate proper resources to address problem
- Make monthly inspection of all leg belts and cups
- Maintain required written records/reports for work performed, corrective actions and parts management.
Educations/Experience Requirements
- High school. Technical training in mechanics, computer skills
- 0-3 yrs. mechanical experience or feed mill.
- Entry level mechanic will be trained.
