Primary Purpose
Direct and oversee night shift operations in the cone debone department, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining alignment of people, processes, and resources. This role is essential in driving performance and efficiency with Foodmate automated cone debone equipment.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Staffing & Scheduling: Ensure correct staffing levels nightly to meet production demand and fulfill customer orders.
- Operational Oversight: Manage Foodmate cone debone lines, ensuring SOPs and Good Production Practices (GPPs) are consistently followed
- Quality & Food Safety: Monitor product quality and packaging specifications, implement corrective actions for defects, and uphold USDA and HACCP standards.
- Performance Metrics: Achieve and exceed department KPIs including BMPH, Cost/lb., PPMH, and A Grade %.
- Compliance & Training: Enforce HR and Safety policies, manage Kronos and Oracle HCM requests, and ensure timely completion of safety certifications.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to optimize Foodmate cone debone automation performance and reduce downtime.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Operations Management, or Business preferred.
- 3 years of supervisory experience (poultry or food manufacturing strongly preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Foodmate cone debone automation highly desirable.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and USDA sanitation/pre-op guidelines.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
