Ensure incubation equipment, ventilation and maintenance of all equipment throughout facility is maintained. Ensure proper staffing and that all programs for safety and environmental are being followed. Maintain goals for hatch, HOF, and chick quality.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and inspect incubation, ventilation, chick quality, waste, and processing equipment. Assess and diagnose equipment issues and direct maintenance for required repairs. Purchase supplies and parts to maintain operations.
- Oversee quality control procedures and inspect to ensure proper sanitation levels throughout the building. Validate Quality Control, Animal Welfare, vaccine, and other documentation needed for periodic Internal and External Audits.
- Provide leadership and support to direct & indirect reports to achieve operational excellence and support overall Hatchery goals.
- Ensure that all programs for safety & environmental instructions are followed. Conduct training and certifications required for safe equipment operation and safety. Provide a safe work atmosphere for employees.
- Participate in the hiring process to ensure proper selection of qualified candidates. Execute training and development activities related to hatchery operations to develop competency and continued commitment.
- Associates degree preferred; experience in lieu of education.
- 3-5 years related work experience.
- Business Acumen, Continuing education in Poultry Science, Incubation, maintenance.
- Good communication skills, ability to supervise and lead staff.
- Ability to learn new skills, adapt to change.
