Overview
Mountainview Nursing Home is seeking wonderful, caring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide individualized, personalized care to our long-term residents. We are an "Eden Alternative Certified Facility" whose goal is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our elders.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants to join our healthcare team. This role requires a strong commitment to resident care, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide basic resident care under the supervision of registered nurses or licensed practical nurses.
- Help with mobility and transportation of residents using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by following infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) or electronic health records (EHR).
- Support residents with special needs, including those with developmental disabilities or dementia.
- Participate in resident care planning and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Uphold HIPAA regulations to protect resident confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic life support techniques.
- Experience working in long-term care facilities.
- Ability to provide compassionate care for seniors and individuals with chronic illnesses or disabilities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
