Job Summary And Qualifications

Summary:

Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs and are looking for a team member who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. • You will communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical condition
• You will respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment
• You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure
• You will perform general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision
• You will maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts
• You will participate in performance improvement activities
• You will act as the patient’s advocate, as circumstances require
  
  

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent
• Current license to practice as a registered Nurse in the State of Nevada
• Current BLS required
• ACLS certification required within six (6) months of Hire/Transfer
• NRP required within three (3) months of Hire/Transfer
• S.T.A.B.L.E. current certification must be obtained within 6 months of Hire/Transfer
• AWHONN Fetal monitoring validation
• Minimum of 1-year recent labor and delivery nursing experience in a comparable unit
• Proficiency in surgical suite nursing procedures and skills strongly preferred
