What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional LAP/Title @ Mountainview Elementary position at Mountainview Elementary?
Primary Responsibility: Provide instruction to students as outlined by the Title/LAP coordinator, routine clerical duties, material preparation for the teaching/ learning process and other non-instructional duties as designated by the Title/LAP coordinator and/or building principal.
Directly Responsible To: Title/LAP coordinator and building principal.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Conduct small group instruction using district adopted supplemental materials
2. Consult with classroom teachers
3. Align small group lessons to classroom instruction
4. Prepare materials for each group
5. Clerical recordkeeping (schedules, enrollment)
6. Administer and score reading inventories

Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal
Playground supervision
Lunch supervision
Computer Lab
Bus supervision before and after school
Essential Job Functions:
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Assist with lifting over 50 lbs.
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, extended arm use involving weights,frequently.
Bilingual preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- May be required to acquire a current first aid/CPR card.
- Meet Title I “Highly Qualified” standard (i.e., AA degree, two years of college training or able to pass the state basic skills test).
- Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in English and Spanish
Personal Qualities:
- Must be able to work well with children and adults alike
- Must be punctual
- Cooperative and flexible
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous successful experience working with children preferred.
