Fitness Class Instructor / Personal Trainer

Job Title: Fitness Class Instructor and /or Personal Trainer

Reports to: Director of Luxury Spa & Wellness and Fitness Manager

Status: Non-Exempt

Job Type: Part-time, seasonal

Position Summary: Fitness Class Instructor and/or Personal Trainer provides exceptional training to members through private training, group sessions, and classes. Offering the ultimate fitness experience to Mountaintop members & guests by using their knowledge and expertise with a variety of class offerings. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Personal and Group Fitness Training and Classes.
• Prepare and clean up after each class.
• Ensure physical comfort of the room and guests by being attentive to details such as the temperature, music, sound, cleanliness of floors and work surfaces, roll towels and order of supplies before, during and after the sessions and/or class.
• Can demonstrate proper exercise form and give effective cueing to improve clients' technique.
• Be on time and keep all appointments.
• Be professional and courteous to members and trainers at all times.
• Return weights and other equipment.
• Engage with members/guests in the Fitness Center.
• Fitness Class Instructors must maintain a flexible schedule and be able to work days, evening, weekends, and holidays when needed. The Director and Manager will do everything possible to address schedule considerations with all Spa and Fitness team members to ensure quality of life and a schedule that accommodates members and guests.
• Must be available for Club events, golf tournaments, and annual 5k. 

Qualifications: 

• Must have a positive and motivating attitude. 
• Must be willing to work independently and with a team environment.  

Education and Experience:

• Current Group Exercise Certification, Personal Trainer Certification
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• 2 years' experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit, stand, and exercise for prolonged periods of time.  
• Must be able to move between indoor and outdoor locations throughout the day and lift up to 50 lbs.
