Temporary Alumni Outreach Coordinator

In this role, you’ll cultivate lasting relationships with Mountainside clients and alumni through personalized outreach and ongoing community engagement. You’ll help build and maintain a strong support network while creating meaningful connections that extend beyond our programs.

 The anticipated duration of this temporary position is approximately 3–6 months, with the potential to transition to regular full-time. 

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Weekend and evening events required with travel in the Northeast*

Your Role:

• Maintains contact with alumni through outreach calls, call tree tasks, texts, and emails.
• Ensure all aspects of contact with alumni are documented through the appropriate software.
• Work in concert with Admissions, Crisis Intervention Team, and Continuing Care to provide support to all alumni.
• Responsible for facilitating client groups to build rapport with clients in treatment.
• Responsible for attending alumni events to build relationships with alumni. 
• Market all alumni events, workshops, and programs via appropriate communication channels.
• Maintains outreach with discharged clients to keep them connected to Mountainside.
• Maximize local digital presence through reviews and resources during and post events.

 Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Or associate degree in human services or similar field
• Experience in the addiction treatment field preferred

Skills and Abilities:

• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office required, experience with Salesforce and/or Eventbrite preferred, competence in software applications such as Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, and use of internet applications and in using and/or connecting wireless computer hardware, the ability to project to remote devices, etc.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as necessary.             
• Awareness and sensitivity to addiction, socioeconomics, and strong cultural competency.
• Strong oral and written communication, as well as excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle challenging personalities and sensitive situations.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
• Strong phone presence, with the ability to communicate clearly, compassionately, and confidently in difficult situations.
• Ability to work weekends and evenings, as well as flexible of a varying schedule.
• Physically able to participate in workshops that require physical stamina and lifting

Knowledge and Experience:

• Experience working as an assistant or personally assisting in event planning and coordination.
• Working understanding of ethical boundaries, HIPPA, and client confidentiality rights.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize problem-solving skills to achieve successful outcomes.
• Experience with Twelve-Step, and/or Refuge Recovery programs, whether personal and professional preferred.

Compensation:

The base rate of pay for this position is $23.00 to $28.00 per hour. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
