- The Charge Nurse—Emergency Department has the leadership skills, authority, responsibility, and shift accountability for the delivery of nursing care through the use of the nursing process.
- They are an extension of the leadership team (director, manager, nursing supervisor, clinical preceptor, and/or house supervisor) and must conduct themselves as such.
Job Requirements:
- An associate’s degree in nursing required.
- At least 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience
- Licensed as an RN in the State of New Jersey
- Maintain ACLS and PALS
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
